Ipswich Town points per match by player 09:51 - May 26 with 1468 views | itfcjoe | Sorry for formatting but it is Starts - Sub Apearances - Points Per Match Sure other people will take different things from it, but for me the biggest stand outs are Wes Burns and George Edmundson, both playing the majority of matches under both managers, and both right at the top of this Another interesting one is Tyreeq Bakinson compared to Dominic Thompson, both signed at the same time but Bakinson much higher Kayden Jackson 7 5 1.83 Tyreeq Bakinson 14 3 1.82 Wes Burns 34 3 1.76 George Edmundson 32 0 1.75 James Norwood 12 11 1.65 Tom Carroll 8 6 1.64 Bersant Celina 23 9 1.63 Sone Aluko 18 12 1.63 Sam Morsy 33 1 1.59 Conor Chaplin 24 15 1.59 Christian Walton 34 0 1.56 Lee Evans 26 1 1.56 Luke Woolfenden 30 1 1.55 Aristote Nsiala 10 1 1.55 Janoi Donacien 40 3 1.53 Dominic Thompson 15 2 1.53 Elkan Baggott 2 0 1.5 Cameron Humphreys 0 2 1.5 Cameron Burgess 18 3 1.48 Macauley Bonne 29 14 1.47 Václav Hladký 12 0 1.42 Hayden Coulson 6 0 1.33 Matt Penney 18 4 1.32 Kyle Edwards 11 7 1.28 Kane Vincent-Young 11 4 1.27 Rekeem Harper 6 7 1.23 Idris El Mizouni 3 2 1.2 Joe Pigott 10 12 1.18 Scott Fraser 14 1 1.13 Bailey Clements 4 0 1 Armando Dobra 1 1 0.5 Louie Barry 1 1 0

Probably the player in some ways that most damaged the season because lack of goals was our big let down and he was supposed to be a big signing for us. Coupled with Bonne's horrendous end of season form it's not surprising the season ended as it did.

| They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all! | Poll: | What hurt more? |

Suspect the injury has massively helped our chances of getting another year from him to be honest. Need to hope he gets a good chunk of pre-season in though.

I'd spoken to him a few weeks back and he was waiting to see if 3rd injection took or would miss pre season, a few days later he was walking without the boot back on so hopefully that was the case. I'm really interested to see how our defence shapes up next season

Yep definitely. Realised I left Walton out of the short list though! We will do well to hang onto both although given to understand Walton loves it here.

Mins Pld F - A Goal Ave 1 Jackson 575 10 - 1 10.00 2 Baggott 180 4 - 1 4.00 3 Norwood 1069 14 - 5 2.80 4 Bakinson 1291 18 - 8 2.25 5 Carroll 772 8 - 4 2.00 6 Celina 2129 32 - 17 1.88 7 Thompson 1365 15 - 8 1.88 8 Burns 2989 50 - 28 1.79 9 Morsy 2925 51 - 29 1.76 10 Penney 1597 35 - 20 1.75 11 Aluko 1490 26 - 15 1.73 12 Edmundson 2851 49 - 29 1.69 13 Woolfenden 2739 39 - 25 1.56 14 Donacien 3698 56 - 37 1.51 15 Walton 3060 45 - 30 1.50 16 Hladky 1080 22 - 16 1.38 17 Burgess 1703 31 - 23 1.35 18 Chaplin 2196 36 - 27 1.33 19 Bonne 2758 47 - 36 1.31 20 Evans 2309 43 - 33 1.30 21 Fraser 1204 23 - 20 1.15 22 Vincent-Young 981 18 - 16 1.13 23 Nsiala 857 13 - 12 1.08 24 Dobra 76 1 - 1 1.00 25 Edwards 1053 15 - 15 1.00 26 Barry 68 1 - 1 1.00 27 Pigott 861 11 - 11 1.00 28 Humphreys 22 1 - 1 1.00 29 Harper 648 12 - 16 0.75 30 Coulson 370 7 - 10 0.70 31 El Mizouni 275 2 - 5 0.40 32 Clements 333 2 - 5 0.40 Obviously Baggot and, to a lesser extent, Jackson are outliers due to a limited number of minutes played. Surely it’s just a LWB needed? Unless my man Janoi’s race is run once again. In which case we riot.

Ipswich Town points per match by player on 12:13 - May 26 with 1100 views | BonneNIL | It's all pretty irrelevant because some players on this list played fewer games and some against the weaker teams, whereas regulars played more competitive teams and thus will have a lower PPG average. There is no way that Jackson, Bakinson, Caroll, and Norwood were better players for us last season than Walton, Evans, Morsy, Janoi and Bonne.

Edmundson/Woolfy certains. Ndaba really well suited to that left sided role but that pushes JD out who was a top performer for us, and is an exceptional one on one defender. Its a puzzle for sure.

Yep, DOnacien gives us the flexibility to go 4 at the back as well which we do a lot, whereas if you were to do Ndaba-Woolf-Edmundson I'm not sure that Fridge does

I really think it depends if we're going to stick with the 5. If we don't then imo we have a few problems because JD & Woolfenden play their best football as a 5. Not sure id trust either of them in a 4. So we suddenly need to fill 3 out of 4 positions. Although having said that id be willing to give Woolfenden a chance as a 2 because he's really surprised me how much he has come on this season, he was previously very unconvincing as a 2 though. Im not saying he will revert to a 4 but i don't think we really know his preferred formation and he may see it limiting what he can do in the midfield ?

Woolf has basically spent most of the last few games in a 4 as Burns been a right winger and JD at RB so wouldn't worry too much

I really like Edmundson on the left because he's happy to go both ways. No way should we take Wolfy out of that central spot where he can sweep up and also drive forward, and JD is dependable and has his bromance with Wes down the right. Unless we're getting another player of the calibre of Edmundson to play on the right, with the same athleticism of JD, then I don't see how we can justify splitting up that unit.
