The OP has a valid observation though. I thought it would be bigger.

I’m not getting why people expected it to be bigger.

How big did you expect it to be?

Not a lot of room to play with there is there, think it’ll look bigger in person anyway.

I couldn't care less how big it is, provided it isn't as bright as the ones at MK Dons. An evening game there and it's like an extra floodlight. When it goes to an advert with a white background it's super distracting.

I did think it would be bigger too tbh, but it's hardly a big deal (if you'll pardon the pun).

The width is right as it can't go any wider, but why not 30% more the other way so it's more of a square?

The chav stand??

It’ll be visible from almost every seat in the ground.

We won’t be able to see it from the Sir Alf stand.

If it's only a couple of thousand then fine. It just looked like pretty much all the Cobbold and Churchmans wouldn't be able to.

Difficult to tell until actually inside the ground which is why it was a question.

Maybe it will be a few more than 2000, but it if you can't see it from your seat and that matters to you maybe move seats?

If it will fit anywhere, they might put in a second screen at some point.

Living in the land of Jumbotrons it was always going to look smallish. screen aside, i do like the new concrete walls in that corner. Looks better than it did

I was expecting it to be squarer. Not overly bothered, obviously, but certainly could have been bigger.

It does look more rectangular than the images from the proposals. The highest point is roughly the same but the screen is not as tall.

Half the ground won't be able to see it though, will they?

It seems pretty pointless to me if just the chav stand and Magnus stand can view it.

Screens only really work in pairs.

seems a bit fishy to me. anyway welcome back

Personally I was just expecting it to be big enough to show replays and the halftime entertainment as per my OP. If its just going to be used for advertising whats the point? No benefit to us as fans and i doubt it really impacts our ability to attract sponsorship.

You can watch highlights on your phone.

Why do you assume you won’t be able to on a screen that’s the height of four Peter Crouch’s?

I personally would have expected them to demolish the entire SAR stand and replace it with a massive screen. Clegg out.
