Some of our fans will hate him because he’s a bit of a sh!rehouse on socials as well.

My Swindon-supporting mate hasn't yet forgiven us for Sam Parkin or Tyreece Simpson. I think this latest one may test our friendship!

We loaned them Wolf and Simpson will probably head there is this deal gets done.

He was quite an iconic player in League Two last year. Big on social with an 'abstract' way of posting and a confident swagger.

Turned up to the EFL awards (where he was in team of the season) in a bucket hat and trainers. Certainly has some talent but not sure we need the social media and banter distraction from our focused, professional outfit right now.

Nothing wrong with having a personality and sure Morsy would reign him in if required.

I'd be extremely surprised if this were the case. We've shown little interest in League 2 and below in our recruitment thus far and I don't imagine a 25-year-old with one good season to his name and a troubling habit of falling out with managers and making a spectacle of themselves on social media is one we'd be going for.

Remember that weird link to Liam Kinsella in January? Feels like that one.

Lol. He scored 73 goals for Swindon across three seasons, and then only managed 5 for us in 17 starts plus 5 subs appearances. So a balding version of Pigott 15 years later then!

He was clearly a crushing disappointment given that he was expected to lead the line and bang in the goals for fun, but that probably makes it worse from Swindon's point of view - they lost his goals and then we 'ruined' him to boot! Can't win em all in the transfer market I guess.

As for McKirdy, he sticks them in. Given we're allowed to use 5 subs, and given that Norwood has gone, I don't think it can hurt to have a guy like this at our disposal, whether he's going to be a regular starter or not.

I really don't understand why Simpson has taken against the idea of playing for Ipswich, potentially towards the top of league one, but would be content to drop down to League 2. Doesn't make any sense to me, and it's very frustrating to lose yet another promising youngster...

But yes, you're right on the karma - we also sent Louie Barry back, and he then went on loan to Swindon and did better for them than he did for us (low bar, I appreciate...).

Not really sure we need him, but have wanted us to sign him for a few years now due to his sh!thousery, those players are always welcome to me!

We’ve just signed a LWB from Hereford, albeit for the youth team, but shows we’re still picking up top talents from lower leagues

The Kinsella link was a weird one, but it supposedly had legs until we got Bakinson in, have a friend who’s pretty ITK when it comes to Walsall and they said that deal was all but announced until we changed our minds at the 11th hour for Bakinson

This one could have legs, but we won’t know until we get an imminent or Town announce anything

It's not actually obligatory to have at least one clown in the squad.

Can’t see this one.

25. One good season ever and that’s in a team where Simpson was also great.

He’s got lower stock than Stockton or Alfie May.

Hope not!

Average in league two, we can do much better.

Had a good run last season, but my Swindon mates aren’t that impressed by him.

I’d be concerned if he came in and scored 15 goals then they’d likely be taken away from our 20 goal a season striker who’d then only get 5 and we’d never go up.

Seems like a very Marcus Evans signing.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
