I’ve been to all 3 games so far and have frustrations about them all.
I get it’s early etc but we should have beaten Bolton, made harder work of FGR than we should and the Col U was just same sh1t, different day. The lack of finishing apparent in all 3 games is the main reason I feel like this.
I’m going v MK but right now, no as positive as I usually am.
I may feel different closer to kick off but I can’t help feeling like we have been here before |  |

I’m just a puppy then with this “only” being my 51st season
Seen most things in that time, I just want the team to be successful but going to FGR last week made me think just how far we have fallen having been fortunate enough to watch us in Europe, win cups etc. I do realise a lot of fans have never seen us above the championship
By 3pm I will be willing them on, doing my bit (shouting at the appalling officials we get in L1) and hoping we shoot more.

The last twenty years have been a hammering on expectations but…
1. It’s still August and only game 3.
2. Burleys playoff sides usually hit form after Christmas and were off the pace and not clicking until Santa had been and gone.
3. Lyall’s promotion team did not look like potential champions. October and November 1991 we were terrible. Remember losing 4-1 at home to Swindon and being completely outplayed.
I’m not saying that means we will repeat burley or lyalls years but folks just have to be patient.
The main thing is keeping off the players backs and not adding pressure to a team who know they need (and should) be winning. |  |

I guess it's optimism
Not had much to be optimistic about in years and hopefully a couple of players like Morsey, Walton who make a difference will come in although not in those positions.

I'm genuinely amazed by how much that Col U game has changed the mood on here.
Morsy and Evans back in the middle today, and the first choice front 3, and I'm confident we'll get a win.
