I like Edmundson but Burgess simply looks more comfortable on the left.
Listening to the Stanley commentator who’s seen a lot more of him than most of us I’m sure, he called him a “Rolls-Royce of a defender”. He certainly looked it today. |  |

I think it's about horses for courses tbh.
Against a team like Accrington, who just relentlessly play high long balls, you want someone like Burgess in there. But Edmundson is by far the better ball player, so he'll be the choice against teams with less hustle and bustle.
Nice choices to have though.
I would add, that Burgess looks a far more accomplished player now. Mckenna and his team have a real knack of getting the best out of players. |  |

Generally speaking I think Edmundson’s a better football but we do look more balanced with a more natural left sided player there. Feel a bit sorry for Edmundson, I think he was put on the left as he was the most capable and trustworthy to play there, but given the choice I imagine he would rather be in the middle.
Burgess did very well today I must say. Very strong in the air which was important today. Speaking of winning some good headers, shout out to Harness in that respect who isn’t the tallest but really contributed some neat defensive headers today. |  |
