Sone is coming back hopefully by xmas, but let's be honest, he is in the twilight of his career. We need to see how Ahadme does over the next few matches before deciding if we need another no.9. But I think we need one holding midfielder as a replacement for Ball/Morsy, another no 10. Camara should be properly match fit soon, he had a poor game v Pompey but hopefully that was rustiness. So a minimum of two, maybe 3. Midfield would be options from Morsy, Humph, Camara, new signing.

We have 2 over 21 slots - 3 if they decided to deregister Ball for the remainder of the season. If we were to go after further PL2 players many of those are in the U21 category (as TJJ was) and wouldn't count.

I think Plymouth have shown how effective the loan market can be. Although we'd rather build our own team, I think we just need to prioritise getting out of this league! Loans also mean that the long term injuries have a pathway back rather than being replaced as such. | |

Ahadme looked pretty lively in his brief cameo at Exeter. Don't think we can write down his ability from what little we've seen at Town (he scored 5 in 8 for Burton before we signed him).
I think it likely we'll hire at least a couple more players. Probably a young, fast striker/inside forward to replace John-Jules if he's going to be out a long time. Perhaps in the form of another Prem Youth loan. Maybe a midfielder to replace Ball.
A lot will depend upon whether we can find upgrades on the present squad. We're primarily looking to improve quality rather than plug gaps. |  |

Even though he has not featured much I think we could miss Ball's versatility, able to fill in a number of positions in defence and midfield.
