That's 35% of their goals where he's had a direct contribution.
I am sure they will replace him but it's a huge ask to replace that level of contribution in the January window.

Jackson isn't our 'back up main striker'. He is "one of the options in attack". That's how the team works nowadays. I think it very likely we'll sign (or loan) another option this window, if only because John-Jules is out for several months more.
I also think we stand as good a chance as Plymouth (and Sheffield Wednesday*) of winning the division, even if they retained Whittaker.
* But probably not Barnsley. Their recent good run (W7 D1) was, barring Peterborough, entirely against lower half teams, including four of the current bottom five. |  |
