We have absolutely fcked this haven’t we 19:40 - Feb 11 with 45272 viewstextbackup

Even a draw after pissing about going 2-0 down isn’t good enough.

We were fcking top, points clear.

This is an absolute shtshow, we’ll probably nick a 5th 6th place finish due to the sheer amount of sht we have left to play… but I don’t see us getting anything from barnsley Bolton or Derby, might nick a point or two if we are lucky, which really then gives nobody any hope that the playoffs will result in anything but 82726 passes then concede from the only shot or two we have against us.

It ain’t that bad, you’re just being over emotional and unrealistic

We’ll be in the play offs and that’s ok, I’m cool with that 😎

You'll be cool if we miss them too, right?

Cool! Always next year.

If we fail to get promoted it won't stop some to say: 'give McKenna another season'.

Failure to win promotion will be inexcusable.

You're supposedly a grown up posting under the name John Warks Willy - based on your nonsense in this thread your support probably isn't massively needed.

My favourite player and human ever, and I’m sure has a better willy than us both - wash your mouth out and find a more original username. An accountant I assume? You sound a straight down the line kind of guy

I think you love being the bearer of bad news - just a guess

And it can be enjoyable to have some gallows humour when you’re rubbish. It’s helped numerous times over the past 13-14 years. But it seems a bit strange to still be on the attack against the players and manager now we’re doing a lot better than we have in this league so far and selling out PR for the first time in 20 years. A disappointing run for sure, although in isolation today isn’t a bad result.

Have you looked at the table?

We were miles clear of 4th 5th 6th… we are now a week or two, and poor form, away from sitting in 5th 6th…

You’ve got experience in watching playoffs/football? We need form going into the playoffs, we need the ability to beat the teams around us.

You might be cool and ok with finishing in the playoffs, but after sitting top, then fcking this up as bad as we have, I’m certainly not.

Ah, you def made some comments we can agree on there

Form going into the play offs is critical, yep - I’m hopeful we can achieve that 🤞

Today in isolation isn't a bad result. If we hadn't have drawn against the likes of Lincoln (also lost), Fleetwood, Cheltenham and Cambridge then we'd say today's result was fine.

As said elsewhere, the fact that the last 3 managers have been actual morons, and that the current manager is, at least, intelligent, appears to be cause for optimism.

Meanwhile, we have thrown away automatic promotion; a remarkable amount of fans are prepared to overlook this. I don't get it.

I don’t think it’s overlook, I just think it’s not as black and white as that.

After the football we’ve all endured for so long, having a young intelligent manager playing decent football with us being in a position where we can even say the word ‘automatic’…..maybe my bar is low due to our recent history, but I am genuinely still relieved to be enjoying watching us play

Get a grip and remember how bad it was

Funny you say that. McKenna is on his poorest run as manager, which is 4 wins in 14 since the start of December. Cook’s poorest run was the start of last season, 4 wins in 14.

If it wasn’t good enough for Cook it shouldn’t be good enough for McKenna, especially given the money he’s spent. Today was poor. To gift a promotion rival a two-goal lead is terrible and a spirited fight back shouldn’t paper over the cracks of that first half.

5 winnable games now. None of this rotation nonsense. The same side, game in game out, our strongest eleven. For example, Ladapo over Hirst.

The stats picked out there to compare how we treat the future of McKenna, vs Cook, is laughable.

But I agree re Ladapo, and the jury - for me - is firmly still out on Hirst

It's the Charltons, the Fleetwoods, the Oxfords, the Cambridges where we're throwing it away. It's not draws with Sheffield Wednesday that are the issue, today is only a failed must-win because of previous results.

You bloody happy clappers are everywhere. Fancy not having the guts to call for the head of a manager part way through his first ever season and who so far only has the 2nd highest win percentage of any of our managers, ever. You’ll never get anywhere with that losers attitude!

I don’t find 4 wins in 14 that funny. We can play all the beautiful football we want but our last manager got hammered for defensive frailties and poor results and rightly so. Comparing poorest runs is a fair yard stick. McKenna has to start pulling out results. My point is that it can so easily turn sour and very quickly, ala Cook.

We made today a must win because of poor results leading up to it against sides we should be beating. Us and Wednesday are close, quality wise, so two draws in the two meetings between the two sides is hardly a disaster. IN ISOLATION.

Draws at home are an issue no matter who you play if you stop picking up points on your travels. We’ve won 1 in 6.

Interestingly four of the six draws at home have come against our rivals in the top six - Plymouth, Wednesday, Bolton and Barnsley. Sadly we still have to go away to two of those plus Derby, where draws, in isolation, would be decent results.

Cheltenham and Fleetwood hurt us more than the other four home draws put together.
