I haven't admitted anything chap! All Burns was trying to do was get round Johnson and get back onside. Johnson tried to block Burns and clap him in the chops with a left elbow, then Burns tried to get round the other side and Johnson did the same thing with the right elbow, but made contact second time round. Whether Burns had a little tug at Johnson is immaterial to the violent conduct of Johnson. I'd be amazed if your lad didn't get a 3 match ban and because of the frivilous appeal of your club he should get one more for his trouble. [Post edited 18 Feb 2023 20:57]

sonmeone postage some footage at the time from behind the goal. Burns appears to start the incident by grabbing Johnson by the shoulders for no apparent reason. Johnson tries to shrug him off by throwing his arms back twice. I wasn't convinced from that that he used his elbow, and I can see why they'd appeal

It's an elbow in the face, which is and has been for several years a sending off offence, doesn't matter if Burns was pulling at his shirt or not, that doesn't negate the elbow in the face, nor is it "6 of one and half a dozen of the other". It may seem like excuses, but we accept we haven't been good enough in many games and have conceded too many late goals.
But 1) do you deny we were robbed at Hillsborough when you scored a clear offside goal after throwing objects at officials and players as you weren't happy at losing?
2) If you took the time to look at footage we did score a fair goal against Barnsley to go 3-1 up which was another poor decision
3) Just how happy would you be if Wed had to play in fog like we did at Oxford where players and officials visibility was clearly impacted.
We are entitled to feel hard done by officiating if we want to , after all it is an ITFC forum. It's all to cover up the frustration of not taking our chances and conceding late goals. | | | |

The 'spineless' thing is just massively lazy. Not sure a team with no backbone would come back from 2-0 down against the league leaders who were in ridiculous form. Results have been disappointing of late and performances away from home haven't been good enough lately but I don't think we're spineless, no. There's a lot of football to be played still this season so I'm reserving judgement on which league we'll be in next season but we still have a good shot at promotion this season, albeit most likely via the play offs now. | |

It's a clear elbow and would have been a red in the game if the lino could have confidently identified the culprit. | |
