Speculation on final table into 13:32 - Mar 30 with 3297 views | TalkingBlues | the season end, whilst interesting, is pointless. Every game is unique and % probabilities will swing wildly from game to game now, the one thing we can be certain of, is that there will be unforeseen twists and turns along the way. From our perspective, all we can do, is to continue doing what we’ve been doing, set up the best possible team, play the game how we want to and keep creating chances to score, other teams results are beyond control. If we continue to hit our usual performance levels, results will follow and we will be right in the mix for autos I’m sure, something that looked unobtainable not all that long ago. COYB!!! Speculation on final table into on 14:24 - Mar 30 by TalkingBlues | The gist really, was meant to be that the thousands of new computations on the final table after every game, are not really helpful. It’s probably best for most peoples mental welfare to just try and enjoy the last few games of the season, rather than tying themselves up in knots about top 2. Whatever will be, will be, the journey has been better than most recent seasons. *EDIT - this is most likely massively hypocritical, because I’ve been one of the worst over the last few games for looking at other teams games etc. then I realised that it was quite unhealthy to pile on even more angst about other teams bloody results, lol. It wasn't that long ago that there were a few Town fans on here calling for Mckenna to be sacked or wanting a change of manager. All clubs have them

Speculation on final table into on 15:54 - Mar 30 with 915 views | Guthrum | I disagree that results are massively random. SheffWed losing to FGR might appear surprising on the surface. However, the former's schtik is to defend hard, grab a goal on the break and win 1-0. That's how a large proportion of their games have gone. But if something breaks in that system, they're very vulnerable. FGR might be weak, but they aren't so utterly useless as to miss out on a chance like that. Similarly to when we went through a period of not being able to score many over the winter. A number of seemingly unexpected results came from that. Also games do not occur in isolation. A good run breeds confidence, a poor one drains it away. Other teams' results may give unforseen hope. A key injury or suspension affects what happens next. Studying form, XG, percentages, player performance and all the other statistical musings is not only entertaining, but can inform the observant upon things which might happen. It's not like fans doing that is going to take the edge off team preparation at the sharp end of the season.

I enjoy looking at the different ways of projecting our potential outcome. You say it is bad for people's mental welfare, and you say you've been one of the worst at it. Has it impacted your mental welfare?

The timing is incredible... But, tbf, he's a poor coach. Even if everyone says hes a nice bloke.. Bannans long diaganols to Smith, are mostly what they are about... Yet to be impressed by SW, in football terms.. They have won a lot of games on a physical basis. Maybe it's catching up with their squad a bit, now?

Spoilsport - I really enjoyed the "randomness" of FGR popping up from the muddy trenches to do a Day Of the Triffids conquering act over the Owls on Sunday!
