One for parking the wrong way (In South Africa)
Fine for driving with arm of window (Malawi)
Nigeria fines include illegal U-turn, over loaded car, not driving close enough to car in front, advertising beer and illegally getting into a car.
Also got fined for driving before 12pm on "environmental day" when I was supposed to be cleaning the street, exporting ancient goods, failure to prove my yellow fever status, importing a pepper (because it had seeds in it)
But unlike everyone else on here I have a police clearance certificate from Interpol, issued on my last working day that means not one of those fines was actually recorded...
Almost as if the police in parts of the world are a law unto themselves, completely unaccountable and abuse their powers with impunity. |  |

Whenever I see a car parked on a pavement I will key it, especially if the car is parked stopping wheelchair users from using the pavement. Able-bodied people putting disabled people at risk by force them to use the road instead of the pavement deserve having their cars keyed, over my many years on this planet I've probably key over a 1000 cars parked on pavements. |  | | |

I managed 88 miles Kent to Waldringfield in 58 minutes, including stopping at the Dartford Tunnel, Copdock roundabout and the lanes to the village from the A12/A14. At one point the car was doing 126mph indicated on the A12 - but the book said it’d only do 122mph so I suspect a 10mph over read!
Still, the scenery and junctions approached at a rather rapid rate and the engine made a great sound. Fortunately, it was the late 1980s, Mrs C was asleep, it was Christmas Day and no traffic and there were no speed cameras back in those days.

I know I've told this one before but it's my best confession.
I was a heavy drinker and had drank all of the booze in the house except for a very expensive bottle of gin my Mother in Law had bought my wife back from a holiday in Edinburgh.
I drank it and and replaced it with prison grade gin from the co-op the next day. I could get away with it as it had this special cork.
Anyway my wife wanted to open it some time later and was almost wetting herself over the taste of this exquisite gin telling me "You can really taste the difference!".
I had to leave the room a few times that night. | |
