That transfer list seems to suggest some financial issues to me. To list some of those senior names in addition to expected sales of edwards and taylor would suggest some serious balancing of the books |

I think they said on a recent podcast that they're going to go with youth next season as their academy has some talent that Ferguson wants to work with. |

I suppose so, the financial issues they've had over recent months have made the position clear enough and meant there is an inevitability regarding departures. Still, they evidently want to be seen to be putting up some sort of fight by not formally making their two prize assets available.

Indeed. To transfer list their top scorer (and joint winner of the L1 Golden Boot with Chaplin) seems odd, given he's only 28, so unlikely to be past it. |
