Quite a few of those a few years ago maybe!

If Hladky wanted to go be a number 1 then some experienced GKs there to replace him who you'd imagine would be happy enough being 2nd choice and be a wise head in the dressing room, Vaclik if I had to pick one (not just so it would keep our Czech representation in tact).

Manning and Dasilva probably the picks but don't really have a need for either of them.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Ryan Manning’s a tidy player, but we’re covered at LB/LWB. He’s certainly PO team quality and proven. Only released as Swansea are doing a Marcus Evans and cutting costs, so he couldn’t agree a new contract.

I think the obvious ones like Manning and Kent will have bigger suitors - newly promoted PL teams for Kent and newly arriving Championship clubs for Manning. If we're able to attract a few of their quality we will be in great shape.

We came close to signing him as an academy player but went to QPR instead as they were in the Premier League at the time, if I remember rightly. Was a striker at the time. I saw him play a behind-closed-doors match for a Republic of Ireland team at Playford Road in which he scored a penalty.

I didn’t realise that. It’s surprising how many links are thrown up in the game sometimes. He certainly likes to get forward and operate almost as a winger, so that that explains that. He’s a master of the dark arts too.

One I'd imagine Kieran would be familiar with from his academy time as much as his first-team experience. Just looked that game up and it was 10 years ago.
