I guess people are more interested in political corruption when it involves actual politicians. It's also a bit of a naff story really, he's done some shady sh!t (he's a rich white man, par for the course), has been caught and has managed to get a plea deal (fairly standard in the US, especially for white collar crime) that means he'll avoid jail. It's not a particularly juicy story really, he's been caught dodging tax and buying a gun illegally, he's owned up. What sort of coverage were you expecting? |  |
