Like rabbits in headlights except for Brook. Terrible decision making.

Cricket: Day 4 on 14:25 - Jul 9 with 1097 views | BlueOura | FFS Bairstow. Toss up between him and root for chump of the match. Terrible with the gloves and has completely failed to redeem himself with the bat in both innings. The pair of them have, in all likelihood cost us this test. Very frustrating. That's not the England way. We'll drop a bowler who's efforts were completely negated by pathetic batting.

You have to ask the question based on his performance over those 3 tests with the bat and gloves why he’s in the side? Foakes should be starting without question, the selectors need to look at others that need dropping from this England side, not getting rid of one of the best wicketkeepers in world cricket. Utterly crazy.

Cricket: Day 4 on 14:35 - Jul 9 with 1061 views | BlueOura | Why are we in such a hurry to reach the target today, resulting in playing at balls that we just don't need to. Surely with two days left, the slow and steady approach ( ala Geoff Boycott ) would have been the best way to play, wearing the bowlers down. I get the whole Bazball thing is about entertainment but the idea is to win isn't it? What am I missing? Perhaps somebody with more cricket knowledge than I could explain why we seem to be playing day 4 like it's day 5? [Post edited 9 Jul 2023 14:36]

Cricket: Day 4 on 14:37 - Jul 9 with 1055 views | Whos_blue | Jeez. I can barely watch this. England are just their own worst enemies. I feel a bit for Bairstow. He's had a shocker this series. It's not over and we can still do it, but it's ebbing away.

England haven’t had to face a top quality bowling attack like this one, this series was always going to test us. There’s no doubt this Aussie attack is the best in the world and has served to highlight Bazball’s limitations. For me, our batsmen need to be far more measured in their approach, instead of trying to hit 4s and 6s every ball. There’s no doubt we have had our chances in this series and been on top, but completely given away the ascendency with brainless cricket. So frustrating. Bazball certainly brings excitement, but ultimately it comes down to winning series like this one, if we come up short then questions will be asked. [Post edited 9 Jul 2023 14:49]

I agree, their bowling attack is clearly very strong so tire them out first and then go on the attack. I would have been quite happy to see them bore the pants off everybody today and finish the job off tomorrow.

Whilst keeping his average over the last 5 years is about 17. Not enough to justify inclusion as a keeper. As batsman alone its over 60.

Getting there, 37 needed Just need to stay in as the runs are coming freely but that’s been the case several times today already.
