From the police not continuing their investigation you could infer they weren't (assuming the photo aspect was actually true in the first place, of course). Therefore, his apology could potentially be libelling Huw Edwards. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

As I understand it, were't the payments made via OnlyFans? Which is an over-18's only site. I'm told. By my mate.

That were my thoughts when I read that tweet. I didn’t realise that the payments were via OnlyFans until BlueBadger posted that.

What is wrong with standing up for the country, not peddling truth". Or you are some saddo who wants the kudos (?) of being able to claim you were one of the first 'in the know'. I suspect you are too thick to grasp there is an awful lot of difference between claiming to know who will win Big Brother etc, and openly accusing a public figure of paedophilia. Hopefully you and others will be named (the irony) and handed 250 (max I think) hours of community service, whereby for once your actions might be considered positivem..... which is around a years Saturdays, if you only do that day. Just a shame Fartrage and the rest cannot be similarly punished for their lie.

Being able to afford expensive lawyers is a pretty foolproof way of proving you're not a bigot. [Post edited 14 Jul 2023 17:09]

All gone strangely quiet from Farage about his bank account being “canceled”.

Obviously the case in the OP is a pretty clear cut case of someone saying something very stupid and libellous but in general feel a bit uncomfortable about rich powerful people being able to shut down criticism with the threat of legal action.

He lives up to his name as he has been ranting on the William Joyce memorial broadcaster the Coutts bank gave the BBC his bank details They did not. They did confirm their policy of not allowing accounts with less than one million pound in them. Something that is widely known. Like other righties he seems unable to stop lying, whatever the subject. [Post edited 14 Jul 2023 17:47]

Boat's probably sailed now, but I did seriously consider setting up a 'get Nige a new bank account at Coutts' fundraiser with the intention of sending the proceeds to a refugee charity.
