You honestly expect us to believe you've been watching Gillingham games in order to form an opinion on Baggott?

I've watched various games of various clubs and highlights from various games too. I don't claim to have watched a specific club to focus on a specific player no.
I believe I've seen Baggott for town on a few occasions more than just 1 pizza game, I'm sure of it, one seems to little. But if I'm wrong then it has to be other fixtures he's been in otherwise my son first of all wouldn't have recognised him for us to have the conversation we had.
Indeed. The only time I've seen him play was that Rotherham game as I was away for the Charlton game and I thought he looked good, not remotely out of his depth and comfortable on the ball. I wonder which Gillingham games Frimmers tuned into that have turned him against Baggott? My guess is none and he's just doing his usual tired routine.
However, here's a good example of the tripling down that causes threads to derail.
He played twice. I only saw one of those but he didn't look out of place in that appearance, imo. He did well in his half season at Gillingham.
50 seconds into this video.. that's what I remember and what my son spoke to be about last night and that that he was still looking dodgy.
I do remember that game as that was the 2nd time he'd slipped up and let charlton in. ( not that it mattered) And he did similar in the game at Rotherham.
Yes I know. Everyone makes mistakes etc. I agree. But he looked ropey then and I didn't see anything last night to think yep he's a star.
Anyway. I won't reply further. But glad I've found the video and what games it was as i was sure I'd seen him in town colours not others.

.....old Frimmers with his clueless takes on pretty much everything, coupled with professional internet arguers who never give up and always insist on the last word.
What a world we live in.
Lovely stuff.
Classic TWTD.

Pretty certain he was at fault for the Rotherham goal but I may be wrong.
He had all the right attributes when he was with the under 21's but imo, and it is only my opinion, he hasn't progressed as well as I had hoped.
He's 21 this year. At that age, Woolfy was playing regularly under Lambert our first League One season.
Thankfully we've progressed a lot as a club since the days of Lambert. This is a big season for Baggott, he did well at Gillingham but missed out on the chance to push on at Cheltenham. If he can have a good season in League 1 on loan then that will help his development no end. I think, unless like Frimmers you've watched a lot of Gillingham, it's nigh on impossible to tell how well he's progressed since those first couple of games for us. Any judgement based on last night seems a little harsh, if not foolish.

Think he was closest to Smith when he scored but I remember Burns saying after the match that Baggott did nothing wrong and the whole team didn't defend that particular passage of play well enough.
Think that's a bit harsh to compare with Woolfenden at a similar age - the state of the club could barely be more different. If we were still under Evans Baggott probably would have been integrated into the first team already because he'd be seen as someone to play there to save having to buy someone.
Hopefully he gets a good loan spell this season - as we've seen in the past they can be a bit hit and miss and there's fair amount of good fortune needed to get in and stay in, particularly as a CB. Seemed to be doing well at Gillingham, then they brought in more loan players, we were happy to test him at a higher level but Cheltenham had a settled back line so he was on the bench and ended up picking up an injury anyway.
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.
Last season he started at aged 19 and played 19 L2 games for Gillingham, and 1 L1 game for Chelthenham
In Woolfie's age 19 season he played 32 games for Swindon in League 2
To keep up with Woolfie he needs to play as a regular in L1 this season (LW played 31 out of 36 games)
As a note, their birthday's are 2 days apart so comparing like this is fair re their progress
My summary.
He’s a young centre back, centre back is a position that players often mature into later than others.
He’s got good attributes and potentially could become an Ipswich Town first team player in the future. That doesn’t mean he will, but he might and certain people should be mindful that he is developing.
