Actually no its not. Its quite normal..
To the OP it's effectively everyone saying fair play to each other for attending. And more so to those who've travelled from distances to the game too. |  |

For me the more applause and cheers we get the better . I don't really like the anti Norwich chants during the game as i think it can be detrimental ,don't get me wrong i always want them to lose but during the game i wish our vocal fans would just concentrate on supporting us .Maybe unpopular but that's my take , plenty of time for jeering them after the game when they have been beat ! It’s always been a thing at PR, well since I’ve been going anyway, and when the attendance has been good, obviously. |
Yeah - in the dog-days of our fall from the Championship I remember every claim of there being 15000 being greeted by people pointing to banks of empty seats and mouthing "more like eleven" at one another, but no applause. [Post edited 4 Sep 2023 19:09]

Another thing I’ve not seen at other grounds is asking the manager or chairman to give you a wave.
I remember Burley and Sheepshanks being sung to by the North asking them to wave or asking them what the score was. Has this happened with McKenna or Ashton yet? |  |

I have been watching Town since the 70s and the level of support the fans give the players is as good as I can remember.
It has been building over last few seasons and has accelerated since KM became manager. A lot of credit to the old Section 6/Blue Action folk for getting the ball rolling. |

I also like it when the PA announcer acknowledges the away support who (in the main) then get a round of applause. Last season I thought that it was a nice touch when Fleetwood clapped ‘the good luck to Ipswich next season in the Championship’ announcement that they graciously made. |  | | |
