used to ride my bike over the heath ... TWTDs!!
I remember a couple of nasty golfers 50 odd years ago accusing a group of us of stealing golf balls. We were doing nothing of the sort, and merely playing on the heath, but as a 10 year old I was very scared by the accusation, and very anxious when I went back home to my parents.

The whole area is a bit disjointed with pitches on both sides.
What needs to happen is for YM Rugby to merge with Ipswich (pointless having two teams within a mile of eachother) buy the land from YM and open it up on one big site.
Ipswich Rugby Club ideally want to move to a bigger facility outside the town like Colchester have done and sell their prime land, it will happen

Almost had an encounter with a man with two REALLY friendly staffie type things over the weekend.
‘When they get together they get protective over each other and act violent’
Great stuff
My youngest is still terrified of dogs after an incident there - the owner telling us "he won't bite him and is really friendly" is hardly that comforting to a 4 year old when there is a dog bigger than him all over him

Yes, my friend worked for Fisons, and I played 5-aside football and tennis there. He was also able to park for games at their HQ in Princes Street.
Back in the 1980s, the banks, insurance companies & oil companies usually had excellent sports grounds on the fringes of London & I was lucky enough to play football & cricket on a few of them.

Ha!
One day, we were a little bored (and may or may not have been tasting alcohol to see what it was like), my mate found a golf club and started knocking balls back to golfers shouting "Here mate I found your ball, no need to thank me'
Strangely the golfers didnt think we were being very helpful or found it as funny as we did

I asked Kieran about the plans at the presser the other day. Didn't really give a lot of detail, but I'm sure you're right, the Bristol City facility will be a good guide as that was Ashton's baby. He wasn't so much involved in the stadium development there.
I know that they visited Seagrave, Leicester City's new training centre, earlier this year. Not sure we will be spending £100m Leicester invested though.

Sounds like poetic justice to me.

I know them well. When the Civil Service Football League folded in 1998, our Cabinet Office and Treasury team joined the London Financial Football League for a couple of seasons.
Many of the grounds we played at were situated in south east London in places like Beckenham, and in terms of pitches and facilities were in complete contrast, in terms of luxuriousness, to the Civil Service sports ground in Eltham where we played our home games.

They did! I played for Lloyds for a season and their sports ground facility was in Beckenham. Kent CC now own/use it as an outlier from Canterbury. Over the road was Nat West. Midland, W&G, BofE (especially nice) and others were all in the South East and great facilities. All flogged off now, sadly.
Back to the title, interesting video of Bristol City’s facility. Doesn’t quite have the portacabin charm, but you can’t have everything. Seriously, I thought it looked rather good. Hopefully, if money allows, we can build something better. With Ashton’s knowledge of doing it and McKenna & CO’s knowledge of what the top facilities should look like, hopefully something appropriate for the size of the club can be built.
