It’s a bit of a sh1twitted stance to take - on one hand protesting about the deaths of Muslims in Gaza, yet then supporting a group which has erm…killed 10’s of thousands of Muslims elsewhere. |
I think they are expressing support for attempting to disrupt shipping rather than allowing business as usual during a genocide rather than general support for Houtis and any other of their views and actions. |  |

It's not just one person's banner though. What were seeing now is general and regular racism towards one group of people, who are blamed for what's happening in a country thousands of miles away. No other group in society is treated this way or held responsible for others' actions.
The worst thing is the people doing it consider themselves to be morally justified, just like the comic calling out innocents in his gig. There are so many of these idiots who don't know how else to express their disgust at the Israeli army - shame on them and shame on the rabble rousers like that prick Owen Jones. |

A group which Human Rights Watch have said are actively starving the population of Yemen as a tactic of war. The Houthi attacks on shipping pre date the Gaza conflict (they’ve just been escalated). Most of the ships that have been hit or diverted have no links to Israel including food aid. Out of a population of 30 million, more than 23 million people in Yemen, including nearly 13 million children, are in need of humanitarian assistance; 17.8 million people do not have access to safe drinking water.
“The Houthis have a particularly egregious record of obstructing aid agencies from reaching civilians in need, at least in part to divert aid to Houthi officials, their supporters, and Houthi fighters. ”

4,103 reported antisemitic incidents in 2023 (with two-thirds since 7 October) is something everyone in the UK should be ashamed about, and is why it is incumbent upon everyone in public life to be very careful about the language they use. Indeed, that principle should extend to everyone.

CST does not trawl the internet looking for online incidents to log and will only record online incidents that are reported to CST by a victim, witness or other third party, and where either the offender or the victim is based in the UK." It’s not just one nutter*. Its thousands of vile antisemitic abuse, tropes and conspiracies posted on a daily basis. Fine if some people don’t read social media. However, a great majority of people, especially younger generation do. And they are being radicalised to accept antisemitism as the norm.

The key section for me is this...
