It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Why would a manager with credit in the bank with the owners, players and supporters at their current club, go to the kind of club that sacks an experienced manager like Nigel Pearson when his team is only 5 points off the Play Offs?

Why would a manager of a team which is very comfortably in the Automatic places at this point swap that for a team who are one of many teams battling for a place in the Play Offs?

Why would any manager do either of those things, but especially why would one as careful and thorough in his research as Kieran McKenna do both?

For a day out with his family, maybe.

Crikey, impressive amount of people getting narky about an obviously tongue in cheek post. They even put an exclamation mark on the end.

The main concern here is that he'll insist on working with a CEA he knows and take Ashton with him.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Nah, they want a big name who is passionate and has a long association with the club.

Step forward Royston Maurice Keane.

The plentiful supply of cod must be tempting for any manager.

Jamie has in the past sometimes got worried and fixated about things, so I tried to take his expressed concern seriously, and give him good reasons to not worry about it.

Thank you, I've calmed down now. And Mick McCarthy is still available so all may not be lost.

That would be hilarious. Especially if they sat a dummy of him in the Sky studio and replayed appropriate clips of his every match. Then again, they would get similar in his post-match interviews anyway.

You can sit down at relax. John Eustace very close to be appointed their new manager. I am sure we were all scared and anxious weren't we?

Yea I know what you mean, my bad dreams involve being eaten by a lion whilst trying to explain that isn’t supposed to happen to vegans.

Try a warm drink before bed. It will all be okay.

Who is that?

Yet another 'Piggott' whose surname is too difficult for some to learn?
