Another thread which basically ended up becoming a repeat of the previous one. A bit more respect to other posters who hold different views and fewer accusations and less baiting of other users. Not really got time to deal with multiple abuse reports first thing in the morning.
Further to that, I take Bloots's point about returning users out to cause trouble. There have been a few over the last little while asking to come back and when refused seem to have set up accounts which have done little other than to cause trouble. I've banned the ones I've noticed or been pointed to.

i had an enforced block on one now banned poster. the result was that he just continued to post abuse directed at me but i couldn't then do anything about it - i couldn't even report the abusive posts.
Some people are very odd indeed.

Downvoters gonna downvote on 11:19 - Nov 1 by blueasfook
I just don't think it's a helpful feature - particularly the downvote. It discourages people from posting when abused, and it does get abused, there is no disputing that.
Granted if I posted something which others disputed then I’d rather get an explanation for why others disagreed then a simple downvote. But if someone gets put off from posting simply due to downvotes then they’ll probably won’t ever post again if they received negative, yet constructive criticism.
The funniest thing about this and the previously deleted thread is Bloots and Blueas being the arbiters of what's right/acceptable/moral when it comes to posting.
It's like the new Amazon ads where they say how great they are to their workers. I don't know whether to cry or applaud.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

phil and gav do a great job, getting one of the bigger stirrers on the board to police it instead is a recipe for disaster!
I think that's an unfair assessment of Bloots' contribution to this board. He does a great job in rooting out the returning troublemakers as I said. He's like a bloodhound. He can smell em!

Do you think that you’ve ever been petty and childish on here? Not looking for an argument as I know I have on the past.
….hundreds and hundreds of times, no doubt I’ll continue to be.
My comments are about the relentless nature of what we see on here, the same comments about the same people, the same people downvoting the same people, the same arguments with the same people.
I’m happy that my pettiness is less frequent and less targeted!
