I do respect the passion of the Welsh though, especially when it comes to sport. A proud nation, also a stunning part of the world in areas I must say.

In a word, no.

Same here. I had to work in Cardiff for a while some years ago and I really liked the place. The people are mostly ok. Mind you, when I was ankling around snowdonia, they’d only speak English when they wanted the bill paying. Oh well.
A lot of Wales is stunning. Not Newport though. Even the locals think that’s a a bit desperate. Can’t have been to Blackpool - now that’s a real hole.

Yeah, definitely has its more shabby areas lets say.
The natural landscape is stunning, parts of the coastline and valleys and what not. It's generally the stuff built on it that doesn't do it justice. I've got friends in SW Wales and have spent a bit of time on the West coast as well. Would like to see more of it but it's a bit of an ar5e to get to from the East of England.

No cos I’m Irish and can sing a soldiers song
And for Scots (like me), there's Donald Where's Your Troosers?
Seriously though, I am not sure if it was written for the team as opposed to the place where the team is based, but the Proclaimers are supporters, and Sunshine on Leith has been adopted by Hibs supporters.
A spine-tingling version at the Scottish Cup Final exists on You Tube, and as the OP says, we need Ed to write something equally stirring.
