I'm not sure we win that game without Burgess

Moore and Al-Hamadi look a massive upgrade on what we have had previously too

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

As long as you mean since Hirst got injured, then I agree.

I’d say he’s on par if I’m honest, if not edges it slightly

It’s a conundrum, we press much better with Hirst, but Moore links up/holds up at least as well, and looks much more of a goal threat. Think Hirsts running creates more space for the 10s.

The only Muff in Town.

I’d agree they’re on a par now. Each about as mobile as the other. But once Hurst is off his crutches he’ll be miles ahead. Moore was largely a passenger today I thought. Or rather there were several occasions when I wished we’d had Hirst on instead.

Having both as an option along with AAH will be quite something if Hirsty can get back for the end of season finale/s

There’s a place for Kieffer for sure, but today wasn’t it when we were hitting on the break. But yes, he gives us another option.

Moore is pretty poor with his feet IMHO …….a little clumsy Bambi esk !

He's also a level above in the air and in duels generally, uses his massive frame so effectively.

Moore is the specialist and Hirst the all-rounder I'd say, rather than viewing in terms of better and worse. That being said, I'd start Moore as often as possible from now until the summer break (without running him into the ground).

Definitely more clinical in the box, probably not quite as good running off the ball but looks PL class to me

That would be the ideal scenario

I like Hirst and think he will grow, his running off the ball and fitness is very important to our game

I thought Moore did well today for most of the game, I don't know what game others were watching today

Perhaps the memory plays tricks with people's minds a bit?

Edit: For clarity, I primarily mean Jackson and Ladapo rather than Hirst specifically

Not that Hirst is relevant currently, he isn't available and won't be for some time

I think that’s harsh. Conditions today were terrible. In my opinion he’s actually much better with his feet than most strikers his size and his hold-up play is excellent. Jess great acquisition for which we should be very grateful.

I'd agree, anyone not rating Moore is judging him by very high standards

He looks decent to me, we are a million times better with him and Al-Hamadi than we were with Jackson and/or Broadhead upfront

Hirst I like but he's still quite raw, he puts in an incredible shift, running off the ball and working defenders but Moore is more experienced, better in the air, probably more clinical currently

Hirst will develop and ideally, him, Moore and Al-Hamadi are all fit together

There's a lot more to come from Al-Hamadi, he looks very useful to me. I can't believe he was playing in League Two, he's a lot better than that!

Add in that, for whatever reason, Hirst usually gets fouls given against him whereas Moore usually wins them.

Hirst is a young player coming into his prime who is still learning "game smarts", Moore has the experience and applies it very effectively.

Don't know where this is coming from!? He's good with his feet. Really strong at holding it up and bringing others into play. Player a delightful little reverse to Omari a well so has that in gridlocked as well.

He works better than being left footed for sure. Was glad McKenna referenced how well Edmondson had done though as George had been excellent and a bit unlucky in a couple of moments. It's a shame Edmundson hasn't had a chance to play the right CB slot but Woolf has it nailed at the moment and Townsend might be ahead for it.

The issue with more for me is that he doesn’t quite suit our strengths as well as Hirst. I watched him closely yesterday off the ball as it was the first time seeing him in the flesh for us this season. There was one occasion where we broke from the edge of our box. I think Luongo brought it out and in 10 yards of running Kieffer didn’t move. We could have had a 3 on 2, but the chance went begging. Hirst would have been on his bike pulling players out of position or getting into a threatening position himself.

A lot bounced off him yesterday and he wasn’t on the same wavelength with some layoffs gifting the ball away easily.

Having said all that, he’s still getting up to speed and getting used to us, so he’s certainly not a problem. He offers other things and showed quality with his shot, only denied by an excellent save. Worked hard and offered physicality. And yes, he’s clearly a better option the Broadhead up top.

Personally I didn’t think that was the game for him yesterday. Swansea were obviously going to push up high on us and their 2 CBs are better in the air and hate being turned around. I thought it was a game for Jackson even if Kieffer is the better traditional number 9. But KM knows best!
