Poor from the club with ticketing today. Saw a number of staff from the club that dont attend away games, dyer and his mates who don’t attended away games, wardley and his friends who don’t attend away games. Whats the point of having a points system, if genuine fans are going to miss out??

Lad I used to go to school with who is an arsenal fan (attends there games) works for the foundation, went to his first game of the season yesterday. Not shy about it either. Posted all over his Instagram story. Madness that genuine fans missed out for scenarios like this…as there’s quite a few similar story’s

Was this matchday staff, or the salaried folks handling the day-to-day running of the club in Monday-Friday type roles?

My daughter works match days on the concourse and she was not offered any tickets, well not that she has told me 🤔

To be fair, they haven’t done anything wrong, it’s the club who have cocked up by the sounds of it, not fair to say expose people who have been offered a ticket to a match and accepted.

The individual who was offered a ticket has done nothing wrong.

The issue is how and why they were offered one, so let’s not harangue innocent individuals.

They’ll sort it out!

“Hard hitting” innit.

Bit harsh on the Supporters Club, they secured a significant increase in season ticket refunds following the Covid season.

Town have revised their 2020/21 season ticket refund plans with all fans now set to receive an additional £231 in TeamCard points over the next three years. 30

We already know the name of the relevant person, Mark Ashton.

We don't need any vigilante nonsense at some innocents who just accepted a ticket for them and a friend.

As a journalist, and considering the furore on your website regarding this issue, do you not think you should be actively asking questions of the club rather than passively waiting for a statement to be made?

It certainly warrants reporting on, potentially with a placeholder "the club has been contacted for comment" until such time as Ashton decides how he wants to play this.

This is extremely poor form from the club. But the way some of you are going off is starting to become unhinged.

Phil’s now getting it in the neck? The supporter’s club? “Expose these people?”. I’d recommend taking a step back and breathing. The club will realise what’s going on and will address it.

For the avoidance of doubt, this is a massive own goal by them, but they’ve got some credit in the bank surely?
