Surely if managed properly there’s a way everyone can be accommodated. I’d be on the pitch but I know my old man doesn’t have the mobility to get onto the pitch.
The club should accept and embrace a pitch invasion on the final whistle, but then reasonably ask everyone to clear the pitch after 15 minutes so a proper lap of honour can be done.

The club can't embrace a pitch invasion because they will be fined, but they can do the bare minimum to stop it.
It would be nice to live in a world where people were held accountable for their actions if they do something wrong, but are trusted to behave in a reasonable manner that doesn't harm anyone else until then. | | | |

I reckon the club would actually love a pitch invasion. As for a fine, Sheffield Wednesday got fined 50K last year for a catalogue of errors at pitch invasion time. 50K. Whats the Premier League worth nowadays? 100M minumum? Doubt the prospect of a potential 50K fine would weigh too haeavily on their minds. |  |
