I'm not local to Ipswich, so dont know where the staff etc generally live.

Funnily enough, just had lunch there. The food is always nice at the Maybush, with lovely views of the Deben if you get a good table.
My dad’s house is in the village and his ashes were interred in churchyard today [Post edited 7 May 18:58]

My mum and dad would often help out behind the bar when the pub was run by my aunt and uncle in the early 1970s. Pub was a bit different in those days before any modernisation. Often a lock in at the weekends for the sailing crowd. Carl Giles (the cartoonist) was a regular. |  |
