Win or lose, I am thinking that his future will be made clear very soon. It is widely reported that his contract and that Chelsea owe a staggering amount of money on transfer fees (although ~£800m is said to be owed, that is over many seasons)
The timing of his renewal is no coincidence either as Chelsea will inevitably be keen to do their outgoings early so they have a good idea on what the can, or can't, spend with yet another new manager coming into the fray.
I think all signs are pointing towards Omari's future home being known quite soon, and the question is - is £20m the price tag and do we rate him at that?
This is all speculative of course, but I can't help but think that all signs are pointing toward sooner rather than later. |  |

I think it's just one you have to do in our shoes really - £15-20m might be overpaying slightly in the here and now, but the upside potential is crazy and he was probably in the top 5 players by the end of the Championship last year at age 20 so it doesn't seem like much downside for us either. It's a rare chance where the stars are aligned in our favour and we just should look to take advantage. |
Look at the fees being quoted for Eze and Olise this summer. And the fees paid for players like Brennan Johnson and Kudus last summer. He's got all the attributes and ability to be where they are within a couple of seasons. He can be whatever he wants to be, especially under McKenna who improved him exponentially last season. |  | | |

My understanding having spoken to players/coaches was that Omari would not be returning, but that Sarmiento will be.
But the hat would taste mighty fine if indeed Hutchison was tearing up Premier League defences on behalf of town. |  |

Yes - i'm sure that Ashton and Schwartz (and the wider ownership group) didn't just make concessions on McKenna's renumeration package* but will have included some commitments on player transfer budget (within FFP) and additional costs for training staff and facilities.
* Big numbers being referenced but wonder if there are performance elements to it, as in bonus to stay up. | |

I'm not sure people put enough value on Hutchinson's ball winning ability. Not sure I saw a lot of that from Summerville.
Always looked like Hutchinson had some ability with the ball when he first joined, but the way McKenna and the coaches worked on his ability off the ball was amazing. |

Didn't realise Jamaica are one of the invited extra teams for this year's Copa America. Think he's played for Jamaica in a couple of friendlies already, but not yet played the competitive games that would make it a final declaration for them - interesting to see if he joins up with their squad for the tournament.
The biggest selling point on Omari for me is just how much he improved last year. Like, he looked a player on day one but the progress he made through the season on every aspect of his game was astounding, and shows he has the willingness and discipline required to make it to the very top. If we can bring him back on a permanent, that would be a wonderful bit of business. |  |
