Thought we had an option for another year. If we trigger that we can negotiate a fee. Not expecting millions, but imagine there would be plenty of interest.

Otherwise what has been the point of loaning him out when he's done well in his loan spells?

If we were in the Championship, reckon we could have offered him something, but sadly I don't think he is PL class.

Poll: New hobby suggestions for NeedhamChris.

Would this indicate we are close to announcing the retained players?

I like him - but he’s not even championship class, let alone PL

Wish him well for the Future - but he would be no more than 200k imo to buy and that’s just not our market anymore. We will be paying people that a Month potentially

One of those that if we were in the championship we'd have triggered the option and tried to sell for 200k

But now we are prem, I'm guessing we would have to pay him an increased wage taking him out of the reach of most L1 clubs and we'd rather use those wages elsewhere.

This release news was part of a story about which 3 players Leyton Orient should look to sign.

We turned down low 6 figure bids in January so to release him just 5 months later and miss out on a potential sell on clause as well is not ideal but part of the price of our success coming faster than we expected.

Also it's FLW, so this might be a load of old gash

It would make sense though. Taking the option would no doubt put him on prem wages. So selling him at that point would be difficult. Probably better to just let him go.

The club do not need the cash and asking for a fee may restrict which clubs are willing to sign him. I would hope the club have done it to enable him to negotiate the best option. If true of course.

The ubiquitous Football League World. They tend to all be new graduate, trainee writers. No problem with that of course, but none seem to have any local knowledge and they definitely won’t have any insight from the club.

They could well be right here though. El Miz leaving would be very obvious. He’s not developed at a rate we need now. As others have said, he’s not Championship quality yet nevermind PL. I hope he gets himself a decent club when he does leave.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Most likely they’ve seen on Transfermarkt how contract is up, not seen that it’s been renewed and put 2 and 2 together

That almost sounds like investigative journalism.
