They are related but are not synonyms. Global warming is a part of climate change but doesn't encompass other issues like rising sea levels.

I don't like Man City much either, but I draw the line at burning their fans.

get used to it, a lot of models suggest the uk will get wetter over all.

also, the gulf stream (which makes the uk warmer than it should be), could be disrupted giving us cooler tempatures.

it's called global warming, not uk warming.

climate change is a much more accurate description

May was the warmest on record in the UK but it wasn't particularly sunny, and I imagine the high average temperature was more influenced by mild night time temperatures.

Indeed, in recent winters, frosts and snow have become something of a rarity.

Sorry, I downvoted you, but I suspect you're being sarcastic? I can never remember what each individual's views are on here. Even my own sometimes.

The situation is so serious though.

And definitely no snow at all

Wouldn't want that - need some frosts for certain plants, and to kill some bugs off.

Not surprising in a lowland city.

Numerous frosts & several days of snow here out in the sticks, on edge of the Dales.

We reduced the amount of ODS (ozone depleting substances) that we used. It repaired. Carbon in the atmosphere warming and poisoning the planet is a different thing entirely.

It's still there.

If you're talking about the hole, the hole is slowly closing. In a very rare example of humanity collaborating, we decided to stop using CFCs globally. For the most part, that was followed through on by everyone.
