This is the guy that confirmed their relegation with a couple of own goals towards the end of the season.

At least we're getting him before Austria tour. Championship Burnley clearly need to offload him. Big task to make him ready to play for us.

Big plus points are that he already has a lot of practice in the Premier League.
If KM wants him, and with a settled competent back line, then he's going to be fine.

Nearly 6ft 5inchs, so will be a comfortable on corners etc. Know nothing about him, but an International keeper, so must be decent. Glad we are getting our business done early.

Poll: New hobby suggestions for NeedhamChris.

If Ederson had been Burnley's keeper last season they still would have been relegated.

Decent back up signing, but certainly won’t be first choice!

Upvoted by mistake.

Every footballer makes mistakes, damn they are human, just like you, i guess.

I trust the clubs management more than you, that's enough for me.

Think that mistake that went viral overshadows what a good job did for burnley been told he's got a good eye for a pass and loves to catch the ball which I prefer to punching maybe a big of walton and hladky mix

He's definitely an upgrade on what we have currently and I'm sure he's better than hladky also.
Think it's a solid move.

I'm pretty confident that we're not paying £8-10M for a back up keeper!

No way we're paying this much on a 'back up' keeper ffs

He will be intended to be our starter for the season

My word in that case rushworth would be a back up keeper silly billy

Really like the look of this signing. Burnley fans really like him and believe they should never have signed Trafford. They seem to think worth double the fees quoted and not happy.

Fits the profile. Tall, mobile, good with feet. Great shot stopper as well. Looks brilliant flying off his line and blocking with feet.

Great age. Really like the look of this signing. Will be great to have a commanding keeper again for crosses.

Are we still going for Rushworth?

Thoughts from my Burnley pal:

“He was our keeper when we got promoted.

We then spent about £18m on James Trafford.

He was crap and got the hook.

Muric came back in and the points started coming in.

He should be our number one this year. No idea why we are selling.

He is a good keeper. He was only in for ten games and was MOTM in six of them.

Good shot stopper but will scare the life out of you at the back playing the ball.

He is a big unit as well 6’6” and broad so he can come and collect at corners.”

Tomas Holy was a giant, but it became a weakness of his. I think there was a side he could barely get down in time to save low angle balls

I think that was more down to ability than size. Nice guy but Holy wasn't really very good.

His stats back up the fact he is a very good keeper. Made a couple of mistakes, lets be honest Hladky let in a goal against Norwich from 30yards that any championship keeper should have saved.

If you watch highlights he actually gets down really well.
