Rushworth deal fell through because we wanted a permanent deal but Brighton only wanted a loan.

‘Brighton and Ipswich failed to thrash out a deal for
keeper Carl Rushworth - because of a row over making
it a loan or a buy.

The Tractor Boys wanted Rushworth to be their number
one as revealed and would have liked to buy him for the
Premier League campaign.

However the Seagulls are concerned that they may be
giving away a future England cap and would have
prefered a loan and that halted the transfer’

I think he would've been a very good signing, but not keen on a loan, would rather have Muric on a perm deal.

I feel Muric suits our style a lot more.

Rushworth nowhere near good enough with his feet and there's no chance he plays as high up the pitch either.

You mean the same Brighton who couldn’t tempt our manager, and don’t want us to be a threat to them in the PL, Brighton?

"concerned they may be giving away a future England cap

Why would they care about whether he plays for England or not? Surely all that matters is if he's going to be a future Brighton no.1 or not

If he was our first choice target, a loan would have been fine as long as there wasn’t a recall option. Seems odd to not explore that unless we’ve got higher priority PL loan targets (only allowed 2 aren’t we?).

Brighton , thanks to player trading, make a profit.

If he was called up by England it would increase his value, hence they wanted it to be a loan.

Suspect Ashton & McKenna already have loan targets in mind and limited to just two.

Pleased we have walked away, rather than disrupt our planning.

Yeah, hadn't considered the impact on value. Still feels like a weird way of wording it

"Brighton are concerned about selling someone who may be worth a shed load more in the future" would have sufficed

Il take muric all day .from what I've heard and seen about him..he's definitely for our system..a absolute giant..Good with feet ..Great reflexes good shot stopper good distribution.. yes he's had a few gaffes but what good keeper doesn't...get him in .. what ever happens Walton I don't know . He definitely won't want to be no 2 again .we will jst have to get in a decent 2 that doesn't mind warming the bench

He’d only be capped by England if he gets game time for Brighton.

On that loan point - in my eyes it's essential that we get really impressive/game changing players with our 2 loan slots, and I don't think that can include a keeper tbh.
