Noticed in the video there wasn't a number 1 on the back of the shirt...sign that he may not be first choice still?
Well that’s because Walton is currently number 1. Anyhow, I imagine he will take 49, as it’s a number he’s worn pretty much his whole career, dating back to his youth days at City.
Love the team-mate meeting video. Looks like he's going to bond really well. Interesting that he seemed impressed with how Slicker had filled out since he last saw him, as others have said we look like we've been doing a lot of upper body work over the summer. Morsy looks like he's made of cast iron now. Good vibes in those meetings.
Thanks for that. Just a massive smile on my face watching that. Nice reaction from Christian Walton too, I really hope he stays.
Can't wait for the new season to kick off. I haven't been this excited in years.
Hi all - Clarets fan here. Many congrats on your promotion.
While I think the fee is fair, disappointed to lose Muric, mainly because he was very unfortunate to lose his place after promotion.
If you’re after a safe, dependable, steady Eddie of a keeper, Muric is not your guy. He can be a bit heart in mouth sometimes, but that’s part of the package with him - his distribution with his feet is superb and when he’s ‘in the zone’, he’s a joy to watch. His presence in the box is good but could be better when you consider his size. He’s a more than decent shot stopper too. He’s just the kind of guy who’ll perform a Cruyff turn in his own box in a crucial game, like he did for us against Boro in our promotion season.
What is undeniable is that he now and again he suffers from what you could charitably describe as a ‘brain fart’ where he will just do something inexplicable. It’s just something to accept I guess because if he didn’t have them he’d be challenging Man City’s first team.
He’s a bit of a character - quite aloof and charismatic but we really took to him here and he was sensational in our Championship season. Bit of a cult hero. Enjoy the ride and all the best for the season.

Thanks for that. It'll be interesting to see how he develops with us.
All the best to you for the season ahead. See you in the Premier League in 2025/26.

“Hello, I'm your MP. Actually I'm not. I'm your candidate. Gosh.”

You could be describing Hladky to be fair, who just left on a free having been one of the POTS for us last season. I think those mistakes are sometimes a consequence of how you (and we) try to play, building out from the back, inviting the press etc. You're opening yourselves up to them much more and inevitably comes with the territory. You just have to hope the good far outweighs the bad but I find it hard to lament that too much when 30 minutes later you're drooling over a back-to-front 30 pass goal.
That doesn't really explain the Brighton goal admittedly, that was honking.

We've watched Hladky turns two rushing players, play a calm ball out and then 7 seconds later we score.
He also played the ball to Szmodics so he could show us a ridiculous save.

This is very true, and Kompany did put a lot on his keepers playing those risky passes, but then you get things like the Brighton goal we’re he tried to trap the ball with his studs and let it roll under him or the Everton goal where he just kicked it against Calvert-Lewin. He also seemed to want to play riskier passes when we were trying to close a game out. Predictable he ain’t - but great fun!
