Burrell Road is closed, there’s a bus stopped, police vans and a plane in a holding pattern lapping the area (mate has an app). Somethings happening for sure, maybe road accident?

Now walking the dog nearby.

Police whirly-bird still whirling.

Edit; it’s a light aircraft doing laps.

That took off in Nottingham apparently, wonder if it followed someone to Ipswich? And they got stuck on the grey friar roundabout.

Coppers seem to be guarding the perimeter of the building site of those ugly new townhouses.

Armed, dogs as well.

Nothing on the Star website. Headline is about a bingo caller up for a national award, welcome to Ipswich.

Expect all the hard nosed newshounds from the Star are having their Farleys rusks and warm milk ready to be tucked up in bed.

Pathetic excuse for a local news ‘paper’ these days.

All of the reporters are based in Norfolk I think, apart from probably Paul Geater!

I drove past as the police and ambulance arrived (7:20pm approx). Person laid out on the floor with medics rushing. Drove back about 20 minutes ago and the road is closed and there are 6 police vans parked up by the skate park, so suggests a stabbing as others have said.

This country gets scarier everyday.

I'd be amazed if there aren't still a fair chunk of Ipswich journalists, I assume the overnight team aren't very plentiful any more though

I was Web Editor for a short while and the Sports team were the largest team, Ipswich Town were very important to their stats

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!
