You don’t have the good times without the hard times. Football as an Ipswich supporter is a cycle. It should be exciting not concerning that we are on the edge of doing something really special. Stay up this season and that will be some achievement. Supporters need the reality check of how difficult a task this will be but enjoy the small victories. If this season doesn’t work out how we wanted our squad is in a better position than when we arrived in the Championship this time last year. We are all winners! | |

We have a better Keeper, Right back, Cover at Left back, Center back and front line. The rest will get the attention that is needed. Survival is key, which will be difficult, but doable. |  |

I am extremely nervous, yet excited at the same time. We have improved the squad and will continue to do so. The first two games are going to be tough, but all the games are going to be a challenge. If we finish 17th and above or below, I will enjoy the ride.
The one thing I'm not really looking forward to, is the backlash on here if we end up really struggling and staring relegation in the face for most of the season. Think I will take a break from here for my own sanity should the worst happen. | |

Whilst it has a bit of truth to it. I can't see why people think you can enjoy the potential of being heavily defeated every week.

Guess it's a personal opinion thing. I was ST holder through the prem relegation season and it wasn't that enjoyable watching us lose and walking home knowing it was a step closer to relegation. The Liverpool home game towards the end of the season kinda summed up the feeling of that year. Altho we did have that little run where we got false hope. All for that 1-4 bolton loss to dampen the spirits.
I'll feel a bit better in a few weeks I think when we get our prem squad together. At the moment it's hard to get excited when we're the least prepared than ever under KM. Altho we know he will get the most out of what ever he has to select from. | |

I don't see gavs response at that. He has a fair point. Football in attendance is more than just 90 minutes so I can see why some will enjoy the season regardless. Its an excellent counter. | |

Apart from the 2 seasons you speak of, it has been extremely tough at times being an Ipswich supporter. Losing in L1 hurt a hell of a lot more than losing in the PL ever will. You can enjoy the ride if you accept the journey will be bumpy. Compare it to serious off roaders as opposed to a nice smooth tarmac road. People do the off roading with a smile on their face, suggest we as Town supporters do the same. | |

Johnson and Townsend as well. The former is looking good, the latter decent in his short cameo against Nice.
Been quite impressed with Muric, a commanding presence, the way he claims the ball, as much as his ability and willingness to get forwards. | |
