He's ran Leeds ragged in just the 10 minutes he's been on the pitch. Another really selfless #9 that has all the physical attributes to play at the top level.

Could he be worth a bid before the end of the month?

They quoted £20m+ to Wolves a few weeks back I read.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

Assuming the reports regarding the Greek chappy were correct, I assume he'd be within our budget for the right starting striker?

They have just agreed to sign Tommy Conway tonight so might want to cash in?

Think we moved on to Delap after Panathinaikos asked for more than we were prepared to pay.

So Delap is our 'marquee' attacking signing? (not that I'm necessarily disappointed, might I add)

I’d love him here.

He’d fit our number 9 profile so well.

I’m really surprised we haven’t gone in for him.

I don't see us spending big on another striker, or I didn't until Hirst got injured at least. Still can't think we've got many more really big fees left in us.

That's slightly underwhelming tbh Phil. Not that delap won't be a great player he will be. But he's still early on in his development really.

a niche perspective

Given the fact number 9 is still available surely the club are after another striker?

If we’re relying on Delap with Al-Hamadi/Ladapo subbing on for the next 2 months or more, that’s a BIG worry.

I've wondered whether we might go for a more experienced third striker, someone like Steve Mounié, who was linked before joining Augsburg in Germany, who was on a free.

Broja on a free (not that that would be cheap necessarily)

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

With Kieran and Ashton not leaving anything to chance, surely it's highly unlikely that we *won't* bring another centre forward in?!

I think most fans would be concerned with Delap, AAH and Ladapo as a trio even in the Championship let alone the Prem? We still have our 2 Prem loans in hand remember.

Still reckon we need 5.
CB (10-15m for the Sheffield Lad)
2X CM Cajuste Loan / Philips Loan
1 x CAM Szmodics 10M
1 x LF big fee here Odobert 20m Clarke 20m

So another 40-45m I think we will spend.

A Strike No9 would make it 6 but no idea who. Perhaps we look for a loan for this spot.

Agree with that - surely after our dip over New Year last season after Hirst went out we will have learned the lesson about operating without a proper 9

I think Latte Lath would be a great signing - super athletic …

If we spend 20 million on another striker (Lath) that’s our budget potential gone for the Left sided player. So essentially we have spent 35 million on two strikers and only one can play. Just can’t see it for that reason alone. Think we will fill the spot with a free or a loan. Latte Lath was my top pick before the window opened. If we break the bank and get him and the others we are gonna be spending upwards of 120m and can’t see that although not impossible.

I thought when we signed Delap that he would be cycled with Burns on the right and as backup striker? Is this not the case?

He could be used on the right and can play there, but I think we are going to use him as a 9 predominantly. If Hirst was fit it wouldn’t be impossible to see Delap right and Hirst 9 though your right. Budget wise though, I just can’t see us spending big on another no 9.

Would be a good signing. Yoane Wissa also available from Brentford, if we can't get a Latte.

I'm gutted if you think you think we won't go for another good striker which costs money Phil . Delap is far from oven ready and as you would admit without Hirst our strength up front is in a worse position than championship sides at present. No good bringing in players because there free or cheap if there not up to the task.
