It has been an amazing transfer window in so many ways, but one thing I'll take from it is: when you expect a signing to happen that day, be prepared for disappointment, and when you start to worry that we have nothing close to happening, be ready for 3 multi-million pound deals to be agreed & at the medicals stage.
I logged on here early this morning & genuinely expected us to have 3 excellent signings confirmed & available for inclusion in the squad for the Man City game, all announced by lunchtime. | |
