Celtic are apparently keen to take him back. TBH if Broja is out for 7 weeks as is plus the other questions I'd much rather we moved for Edouard, IDK if 20 mil feels a bit steep but would be a solid signing.

tbh, I think he would be a better shout than Broja - albeit slightly older, played pretty consistently over many years, fewer injuries, averaging prem goals of 7, scored plenty for celtic, potentially cheaper, and has regular football in the prem.
I would imagine this is a lower risk than Broja for sure. |  | | |

It does depend on who is available, though, and how far our scouting network stretches. Despite the number of signings we've brought in, we are still lacking Premier League experience in the squad. That's something else he will provide. | |

That appears to have been the case at Palace but he was a different class at Celtic, too dangerous for defenders to take their attention off him for a minute.

Plenty of newspaper talk that Edouard needs a move, with Palace fans having had enough of him and now making their displeasure known in the stands. He was something of a legend at Celtic, admittedly a pub league compared to the Prem. Below from the The Palace Way:

Yeah, ha ha, but I think you would find that you weren't. And come away with a few more bruises but a greater expectation to be fit for the next game than in the Premier League.
But that apart Édouard has more than a season of Premier League experience now, he knows all but two of the opposition defences and must be getting more ideas of how to unlock them into place. Whether it was all the uncertainty around the management team, whether Palace are a team with a few too many big time Charlies or just the wrong mix for him, I would place faith in McKenna (should the player be brought on board) to develop him within the system and make him comfortable in a central attacker role that would pay dividends.
Of course this is all dependent upon whether the link is just paper talk or has anything in it. As Glassner has started Édouard in both Premier League games so far I have my doubts and suspect he could be one of the foundation stones of a different Palace going forward (in both senses.) | |

He hasn't been able to meet the expectations of Palace fans here but that doesn't mean he would fail to impress us, given they were hunting a top half finish last season and had Eze, Olise to compare him with. We need a striker and he seemingly needs a new home, so if a betting man I would stick a pound on us being interested. | | | |
