From the TownTV commentary.

Poll: Town's most cultured left foot ever?

He was decent but lacked a bit of penetration for want of a better word.

He was okay.

Thought Phillips was excellent, and Greaves, Hutch too was good. Morsy was anonymous first half but then came into it alot in the 2nd. Cajuste was good when he came on.

Excellent would be overselling it. Decent enough and had a lot of work to do.

Unsure at the moment, Looks like a pacey championship player as he came across quite limited with the ball, but I don't know how much game time hes had and may be rusty.

Think in time again, he'll come across even better when he times some runs better but also we need to release him alot more, there were quite a few times Wolfy had the ball, Ogdene started to go but he was ignored. Thats the ball to be making when we cant go through the middle. I find at times we're looking for Davis a bit to much.

a niche perspective

It’s always been my concern with him. Watched a lot of him at International level and always thought he did well up until the final ball / decision. Unfortunate not to get on the end of that through ball today.

Thought he did well today though.

Excellent is a stretch.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

From what I see of him, he is a better player than I expected. I think he was a steal at that price.

He attacks by running horizontal and vertical. So more scope in terms of play than an average winger. He was also first to the ball every time. He isn’t as good as Burns at one on one attacking but he is a clever signing that develops Ipswich overall threat across the park. Physically strong, Ariel strength, purposeful build up work but it’s running off the ball that makes him useful addition.

Don't think we used him enough, he has pace to burn but we didn't play the ball in behind for him enough

Poll: Mick in or out? (not a dig at Mick just want to see the overall opinion on here)

I really hope McKenna works with him and encourages him to take the ball on, drive in to space and get in behind. Too many times he cut back and played the safe ball.

It feels to me like we’ve bought a bag of all the attributes in Ogbene, in so much as his physicality, raw pace, fitness, ability, and we’ll back ourselves to take him on a level.

Objectively speaking I didn’t think today was an excellent performance from him if I’m honest, but you can see what he possesses in those bits you can’t learn.

That’s a nice summary from “Clive baker”. Very useful addition and different player to Burns.

Feels like a player ready made for development by Mckenna. Solid addition gives us good cover in Burns absence and pairs well for the second half sub as needed.

I think we began the match looking like a team of strangers. But as the match moved along we developed patterns of play. We did fine. Quite a few times made the wrong decision, but that'll come.

This is how I see it too. There’s a lot to his game. He has pace and a good level of control. He was up against a good, bit of a monster player who wasn’t averse to pushing and hauling him around but he kept at it and got stuck in, including trying for headers against some big units.

End product? I’m hoping as he settles and gets to know what his team mates are doing that will come. So yes, he did well and shows promise

I thought he was excellent. He chased, pressed, harried, tracked back, won headers and always made good use of the ball.

EDIT: Bizarrely he has the second lowest rating on TWTD of the starting 11, above only Muric, but I think I'd rather trust what the Town TV commentators said.

He provided a good foil for Omari on a number of occasions but it got a little bit predictable as Omari rarely passed it his way. As soon as they develop the sort of understanding that Wes and Omari have, he'll be much more of a threat. Also, I'd like to see him get in the opposition's faces a bit more (like Wes does).

Still early days, but plenty to be excited about.

With a bit of confidence and familiarity with others he should be a real asset. Couple of times he paused as if unsure what he should be doing or who would be making a run for him. Just need to ping the ball first time

I'm going to stick my neck out and, I know this will upset some, say that he has the potential to be better than Gus Uhlenbeek ever was.

The player ratings have always been more of a display of man love than actually a reflection of performance.

I think you're right. Muric, for example, is currently rated lower than any of our other players or his Fulham counterpart Leno. Yet, despite wrong footing himself for their goal, I thought he had an excellent game and made a couple of crucial saves that kept it at one all.

Gus was hilarious to watch but was basically a full back who would charge up the field like an enraged rhino before thumping the ball miles over the bar (with the odd exception).

It was a good thing there was a stand at each end otherwise he’d have wound up in Coes or the Station most times. Loved him to bits, but Uhlenbeek was barely Championship standard.

Ogbene will offer far more than our Dutch friend.

Very much like Sir Wes Burns before a certain Lord McKenna got hold of him.
