Unbelievably a mate of mine, went to 1 game last season with his son, Arsenal fans… season ticket holders at that, have got 2 tickets for the Villa game via the ballot.
And he’s likely to sell them on!

We’ll be good again... one day

The one game rule does appear to have been an error by the club.

It would be interesting to know how many non season ticket holders had memberships and how many that did only attended one game.

My guess that a lot of these may have been fans of other clubs…

I know somebody that was going to buy a membership just to try and get a ticket for Boxing Day, not sure whether they did though.

Depends whether the purpose was to i) reward supporters who had attended historically, or ii) maximise the number of memberships sold.

(I don't believe it was a mistake by the club, just wrong)

Oh b*gger. Forgot to apply again. Did it for Liverpool but forgot for Fulham and now Villa.

So two related Qs for the hive mind please.

Members release date for Villa game?
Presumably 10am on Monday 9th Sept?

Where are the ballot dates published for future fixtures? Need to set myself some calendar reminders.

I’ve not found anything in relation to ballot info for future fixtures either. Think you just have to keep an eye on your emails a month or so before each home game. Now 0/3 in the ballot but got lucky in the queue for both the Liverpool and Fulham game. Onto Monday mornings lottery!

Thanks Dave. Good luck for the tickets lottery on Monday am!
I got lucky that way for a Fulham match ticket.
Have also tried the Brighton away ballot as a consolation prize...

Its really frustrating as i went to loads of games last season..travelling 3 hours to home games and hotel expenses etc..i have a sight issue that prevents me from driving in the dark before anybody tells me that hotel wasnt necessary!.. ive not been successful yet in any of the ballots for tickets or on the mondays after ballots. I know its the price we have to pay for being in the prem but im missing our days in league 1 and the championship already!

0/3 from me. I’ve also entered the Brighton away ballot as well so fully expecting it to be 0/4.

I was starting to give up hope, but been successful which is my first ballot home/away that I have been successful. So don't give up hope!

Although this was the first time I applied as a group of 3, so not sure if that increased my chances?

Also 0/3. I may have been imagining things but I swear at the bottom of the membership or ballot page there was some terms and conditions type statement saying the club can change the requirements as they see fit, or something like that.

Does anyone know if each home ballot is a new start for all members, or if previous ‘winners’ are excluded until everyone has ‘won’?

Each ballot is a new start - previous ballot success has no impact.

So in theory you could get 19/19 and I could get 0/19.

I really hope the club takes stock of this ballot fiasco and amend ticket entrance. They risk alienating the very people who were either regular or semi regular attendees to games, those who will still be there when/if we should go down again.

I'm no superfan, i probably make up double figures each season but I'm starting to get annoyed at the amount of people who are sharing pics of themselves at games where i know they haven't been since pre covid days (and don't get me started on away fans in the home end and 3rd party ticket sites, we all know its happening). The frustration is building.

Clearly I'm a ballot loser (and not sore about it al all...).

Also interestingly, i've just entered into a ballot with sky vip for tickets to this fixture... wonder how many tickets have been put aside for sky
