They lie and say whatever it takes to get elected. They have no principles or politics other than "i want to be in charge". If this is a surprise to anyone they shouldn't be allowed to vote.
Even if you hate Farage, you know what he stands for. With the Tories and Labour, you have no idea what you are going to get, but its a pretty good bet right now it is somewhere along the lines of socialism or communism respectively, irrespective of what they say.

No need to worry about them. They’ll be infighting for years and have literally nothing to offer. After 14 years of vindictive, bogus ideology based destruction it’ll take a couple of generations and the current clowns cleared away for them to become viable. My guess? 15 to 20 years.
I watched the BBC Sunday programme. I had to laugh. Penny Mordant was talking about public service - as if any of the tories are interested in that. The never have been and on the basis they’re only interested in the 1% richest in this country, never will.
If they want to attract votes, they should put Sooty in charge. But then he’d never be stupid enough to take the job.
I suspect that their idea of public service is the 99% serving the remainder.
