Ea25 20:46 - Oct 3 with 2231 views | nodge_blue | Ive bought this for the first time in years, for obvious reasons. What level do people play it at? I started at semi pro level and im beating everyone. Did draw with city though. So i switched to the next level up, professional, and now i cant get near Spurs. Son was running rings round me and i lost 3-0. So there seems to be a big difference in just going up one level.

I've been playing career mode since the first lockdown & have a very defined style of play, which works well against most teams but does sometimes come unstuck against certain formations or tactics. I'd say just mess around with different formations, tactics etc until you find what works best for you & just build from there. Defending is a bastad though, especially as you move up a level. If you're going to stick with it, it's worth watching some of the tuition style videos on YouTube to get a better understanding of how to play.

I tend to absolutely stuff the Fulhams/Villas/Newcastles of the game, but come unstuck against the world-class sides. The bigger challenge I find in career mode is having the self-control not to load the team full of the decent Mexican/Qatari free agents that are always there at the start of the game. The likes of Akram Afif and Erick Sanchez are a bit of a cheat code starting out with ITFC.

I’m not a big fan of the single player modes as I find it either too easy or if it is more at a level I’m used to, I find it a bit predictable compared to online players (harder to beat a man with a trick or fake shot, for example). Found this years version quite difficult in general though, but am enjoying Rush mode.

World class? Blimey. Think i signed Afif. My only tactic is run down the wing and play a cut back pass. But at professional level Hirst is just not getting on the end of them. And Burns kept moaning about not playing so he had to go just to stop the noise. [Post edited 3 Oct 2024 22:48]

Ea25 on 00:42 - Oct 4 with 1734 views | mrfixit426 | I've played every game at pro level for about 20 years. Personally I was a Pro Evo guy - the gameplay was always better. "FIFA" always seems like I'm playing on rails. Bought the latest one for the boy mostly, for obvious reasons. He says it's not much different than the last one. I have no idea why they came to the training ground to do face scans. Everyone looks like either some kind of mutant version of themselves, or like nobody recognisable at all. The whole franchise is a scam, like Call of Duty, or NBA. I've paid for this one, but *I won't do it again. *If we stay up, I may buy it again. Particularly if Portman Road is added. So tired of Ivy Lane............

I think someone said Portman road will be a patch sometime this season. Maybe the players get updated at the same time..

Ea25 on 08:52 - Oct 4 with 1422 views | Sarge | I play on Legendary, although last year they seemed to change it which made the gap between World Class and Legendary too big. The AI on World Class makes some pretty stupid mistakes and is generally quite easy to tackle, on Legendary though there are times where you might as well just put the controller down because it’s not possible to get the ball off them. Legendary goalkeepers also make ridiculous saves. FIFA 23 had the right balance of difficulty.

certainly the case with the ground as EA had definitely confirmed that Portman Rd at least would be in properly, and apparently last years version of the game, it took till the next major patch for some of the promoted teams graphic details to catch up. the version of this years game we're playing was probably already at launch version by the time they went and captured pictures of the players, so its probably the same deal for them as well. though the likes of Delap, Phillips and Muric should be already there, possibly even Cajuste as Napoli are Serie A. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
