He puts that all very eloquently, and it shames me a little that I find that I am switching off from the butchery a bit now, through some sort of fatigue or whatever. The boiled frog analogy is well considered, I think.
It does feel like a new normal to some extent, when you consider the thing in the global context of Trump, Putin, post-truth 'news' reporting and such like. Perhaps every (or many) generation feels that things are deteriorating, but by the gods, it feels like extremists in government or otherwise are taking advantage of the willingness of vast swathes of the populace to swallow online bullsh!t and the justification of evil acts. The information age is more of a disinformation age now.

What is the Turkish coverage like on Erdogan's killing of thousands of Kurds and his displacement of thousands more? Do they cover that in a fair an unbiased manner each day?
If not then it's pretty pointless comparing the Turkish media coverage of the events in Israel/Gaza. Especially given that Erdogan has called on those bastions of democracy and human rights, Russia, Iran, Syria to ally with him in order to take measures against Israel.
