RIP Tom Tomalin 07:26 - Oct 28 with 8608 viewsITFC_Forever

One of the very best of Town fans, who did it all himself despite his health complications.

Indeed, will be sad not to bump into Tom at grounds all over the country, having managed to convey himself there by all means possible. An extraordinary fan and one of the most dedicated the club can have had. RIP Tom.

Mrs Basuco remembers him home and away in the 70's and on a Radio Suffolk phone in he was speaking with The Beat knew him well from his playing days, he must have followed Town for at least 50 or so years!

If I remember rightly, Tom was a couple of years older than me, so will have been going since those days. I remember him talking to Beat when we were doing Life's a Pitch at the ground.

Ah man. That's horrible news to hear.

He was an absolute legend and a true super fan, way before the phrase was even coined.

Sleep well Tom.

A constant sight at away games over the years and ever since I saw him for the first time was always amazed at how he got himself about by himself to where ever ITFC were!

RIP, Tom.

Aaaah that's awful news. Used to travel with Tom and the small band of London branch members in the 80s/90s....great days.

RIP to a proper supporter. Couldn't help but be in awe of his dedication to the club

Such sad news to wake up to this morning.

The club is certainly a worse place without him in the stands supporting. A proper blue.

One of those regular faces that I’d think about when the good times happen and how he deserves it.

RIP Tom

Wow, genuinely gobsmacked. Have known Tom since the late 80s and he really is the epitome of a "Super Fan". Absolutely dedicated to following his beloved ITFC home and away over years, despite of any complication or issue.

Really sad to hear this news, absolutely gutted. RIP Tom.

Never met him, tho I guess I might have seen him at away games (is there a photo anywhere?) at some point, but it sounds like he was a top man.

I never knew Tom but I did know who he was.
A fantastic man and fantastic supporter for probably 50 years plus.
If I remember rightly, he lived in London and made his way to home and away grounds on his own by train, despite health problems and being disabled and in a wheelchair.
Top man!!
I don't know how old he was but surely there must be a minutes applause for him Saturday?
He more than deserves it.

Mid 60's I would think.

Never knew the man personally but a regular feature at Town games, may he rest in peace. A sad loss to the ITFC community no doubt.

Absolutely deserves a minute’s applause vs Leicester, but what minute?

Does anyone actually know how old Tom was?

I'd say more mid to late 50s. He started going a few years before me and to away games on his own even more before me!

I've got memories of him featuring in the programme in the later SBR years and pretty sure I recall him being referred to as in his teens.

Very sad news. I saw him Saturday waiting for the lift at Brentford and said hello.
Remember helping to push him up the hill to station after a Burnley game on a freezing cold day.
What a great man and supporter.

Wow. Even younger than I thought. He was definitely travelling on his own to games in the early 80s.

The guy was even more of a trooper than I already knew he was.
