Guardian article: "Borrowed from the excellent TWTD" 15:06 - Oct 30 with 3185 views | ElderGrizzly | Not something you hear every day :) "Ipswich’s nine results so far this season form a mirror image/palindrome (0-2, 1-4, 2-2, 1-1, 0-0, 1-1, 2-2, 1-4, 0-2 seeing as you ask). Ipswich’s palindrome went pop when they lost 4-3 to Brentford at the weekend, unless they have an even longer one in mind and are going to lose 4-3 to Leicester on Saturday"

Guardian article: "Borrowed from the excellent TWTD" on 22:09 - Oct 30 with 2374 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Not sure why it would require us to lose 3-4 to Leicester. A longer palindromic one could see any set of results over the next 5+ matches that then get repeated in reverse afterwards. The biggest takeaway is that this forum is monitored by more important people than we realised. Those leaked team threads may well be more damaging than we thought. Oh, and well done to Chris too.

Isn’t it just that a Grauniad hack posts on here and manages to get a gushing article in the comic occasionally?

Just for balance, effers, is there anything in the last year that has given you a warm, cosy feeling? I find your scepticism a guilty and amusing pleasure, but surely something has warranted a cheery nod of approval? Cute cat video, or that one of a baby elephant farting and frightening itself? Liam Delap’s deft finish for the franchise against plucky little Villa?

Got a mate who’s a lifelong Coventry fan and he’s just the same. Great friend and I love him to bits, but his glass is always, and quite comically, half empty. When they won the FA Cup back in 1987, he moaned that it was the worst time to win it, due to the EUFA ban on British clubs. When they went up from League 2 to the Championship play off final v Luton, he wasn’t too bothered they lost, because ‘they’d just get stuffed every week in the Prem.’ He’s reasonably contented with their poor start at present because ‘at least no one will come round sniffing for Mark Robins.’ I’ve got a mate who supports Leicester and he’s just as bad. Maybe it’s a Midlands thing? Pretty sure Coventry used to have an elephant on their badge…
