Hadn't initially occurred to me that Sunday falls into this bracket but it's essentially a night game.
It made me think of some of the best 'under the lights' games we've seen at PR in the last few years, so I thought I'd quickly rank some of them.
1. Southampton 2024: 3-2 - 'He's magic, you know' 2. Port Vale 2023: 2-1 - Broadhead masterclass 3. Leicester 2023: 1-1 - Morsy's 'lucky' equalizer 4. Bristol City 2024: 3-2 - 'Think Ipswich Town are going to wither away?' etc 5. Wolves 2023: 3-2 - Jack Taylor thunder-b 6. Derby 2022: 1-0 - The night of the blackout kit 7. Sunderland 2021: 1-1 - First game after KMc's appointment 8. AFC Wimbledon 2019: 2-1 - Jackson's late winner (Probably missed a few obvious ones)
I really hope the crown are up from the off and that this is picked up the sky media team on super Sunday.
KM isn’t exaggerating by saying it’s the biggest game in the world on Sunday. We’re going to watch our team play Man United in the league at Portman Road. If that doesn’t get you going then nothing will!!

Losing 0-1 to Fleetwood when our game plan was to lump the ball 60 yards on to Harry Souttar's head.
Last but one game before Covid put a stop to the misery that was watching Paul Lambert's games in the flesh (other than two 2k crowds in December 2020).

That was a proper grim run of games just before covid wasn’t it.

Watching us losing 2-0 at home to Stockport Tuesday 4/11/1997 und lights was one of the more desperate moments I can recall. The crowd was 8,828 including the idiot writing this

Remember that for the Fleetwood fans signing 'you're not Ipswich anymore'

The other more recent game against Fleetwood in which they scored one of the most ridiculous deflected goals I've seen live to equalise in the final minute of stoppage time. That was a Friday night for some reason iirc.
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

do you mean this one? which I think was the game after Bristol Rovers away
That's the one, it was shortly before as this was January (absolutely freezing that night) and came after the farce in the fog in Oxford.
Bristol Rovers was Valentines day where we drew 0-0, a few of our fans wet the bed with Morsy at the end and it took us about 3 weeks to drive home thanks to every road being shut.

I sit corrected, we tw4tted Forest Green 4-0 after the Rovers game
who would have thought then that we'd be on the verge of playing Man U at PR in the prem less than 2 years later!!

And this idiot , plus it was raining if I’m not mistaken , probably the lowest point since supporting Town since 1968.

We should have had a penalty immediately after as well.

It was raining, it was cold, dank, depressing, empty stadium, awful game that the Stockport Amazonians certainly deserved to win. An evening with no redeeming features. A commemorative medal should be struck for the survivors of that.
Of the best night games, nothing will ever beat that extraordinary match with Bolton. To this day I’m not sure what the hell I witnessed.
The Southampton match last year ran it close of course with that astonishing ending.

I was one of the "lucky" 2000 who witnessed the dismal 2-0 defeat by Pompey. My only positive memory of that drivel was thinking Harness was a decent player and I'd like to see him at Town.

Didn't we lose 2-0 at home against Grimsby around that time too? I think it was a Saturday game. It was raining and the lights were on. Could've been 98?
