I think the group stages should be home and away. Top 2 from each group go through. The knock outs again, home and away games. Quarters should be all 8 sides playing each other twice home and away. Top 4 go into a semi final format of 45 minutes at home, 45 minutes away repeated twice. If no winner, straight to pens. The final is 4 x 15 minute 6 aside on a full sized pitch. The final always being played at Wembley.

Absolute farce, I don’t know but I guess all our leagues will be suspended so that it can be played when it’s not so hot.
Just for the record in the last World Cup I only watched one game England v Wales.
I actually regret not staying true to my principles, the wife couldn’t believe it, in that I didn’t watch it.
I know in the grand scheme of things,me not watching makes little difference to viewing figures but suppose we all said “you can stick it” we are not exactly supporting England getting pissed watching it on a big screen are we? | | | |
