If there’s still tickets available after general sale it will highlight two things, most of the people with the highest points , purchase them purely for the points, and the ones who moan about not being able to go to an away game, bearing in mind it’s a 3pm kick off on a Saturday and the FA cup, chat sh@t and just want the big club away games. Purely for the points is a bit of a simplistic way of thinking about it, surely buying them for Premier League away games is incentive enough?

I'm assuming it's more the case that the fans with all the points are happy to skip this one and have a Saturday off. Looks like it will work out well: a good 1,000 or more people who don't have any away points should be able to get to an away game this year. Find it quite sad that so many people are getting their knickers in a righteous twist about it.

Just over 1000 left I'd estimate. Hopefully can be sold out after going on general.

Out of interest, how did you manage to get two children's tickets at this stage for two kids who have never been to any away games so won't have the relevant points to get tickets at this stage? My dad and I are both on 40+ points and have our tickets but hoping to take my two kids, who have to wait for general sale because they haven't enough points having only been to MK Dons away before so would be good to know how you've achieved it in case I've missed as trick.

Yea, should sell out tho after general sale, lot of people moaning they can’t do an away game, but looking like they will sell out, a lot just gone in 10 mins on the 10+ [Post edited 31 Jan 10:16]

Do you really think there’d be tickets available at 10+ if there was a point on offer, there hasn’t been so far……

Junior blues perhaps? A membership this season and last would give you 10 points. That’s how I’ve got my two a ticket.

Yes. I've just got our 3 x tickets - first away game of the season for us, KJ and myself on 13 points, Yasmin on 11, as she's had Junior Blues membership last season and this and went to an away game last season.

So your take is that "non-high pointers" need to keep their diary clear for every cup round when fixtures are announced in the hope its an away game and there are enough tickets to make lower than average away point brackets. An alternate take could be that high pointers are skipping this as its not a big team and that's all they now care about. Where are the 3k who follow Ipswich week in week out, no matter what, for the past 2 and a half seasons because they love the club and don't care about the opposition? There is no way to define peoples motives, choices or diaries, as every individual is different today from yesterday or the day before that! What is clear is that Town fans should stop sniping at one another about tickets and points, it does no one any good (apart from trolls, they're having a field day!). People have high points because they earnt them, but they should stop preaching, and at the same time others without can stop moaning who haven't earnt them. We are where we are, nothing will change this season so everyone needs to chill and get behind the team rather than bickering.

Same, first away game of the season here as well. Me, my mate and my son all have 10 from previous seasons and memberships. Be nice to watch a game without feeling physically sick all the way through!

Yes to the first paragraph .. there’s a million and one ways to look at the situation. I was just pointing out, if this doesn’t sell out, no one can moan.
Anyone know how many Cov tickets there roughly are... on 11:15 - Jan 31 with 1956 views | roblenton | That’s more sold than prem match then 👍 We can’t compare this to league because there are too many different variables….cheaper (esp for kids), away at Villa following week, larger allocation etc Will be interesting if we get to quarter final though and club use previous cup rounds attendance to define ticket priority ?? This used to happen in seasons past if I recall correctly

With 1000 sold this morning, 5 pointers still to have their chance plus season ticket holders and general sale. I think you may have gone a bit early on the boring attack on the boring moaners. Going to be great next week with us all on the road...can we do blue and white balloons like the cup matches of old?
