You are right. No balance, no objectivity, no real thought and no support. Just relish at our situation the boot going in to various people at the club. Goalkeeper? Let’s hurl abuse at him during the game and try and break him and get him out. Power to those who know best. 22 year old forward? Carthorse, get him out. A player signed last week? He’s next one game, too lightweight, money wasted. Etc etc.
Mark Ashton was quiet much of last season too. So what? He gets criticised for saying too much or too little. Partly because of how he comes across and partly from the lobotomised clowns from Bristol City who dished up a boatload of abuse when he started here.
People have a habit of believing what they read, especially when a view is not challenged. It is one of the pitfalls of social media and reasons why it’s so beloved. You don’t need truth. Just a loud mouth and a story to tell. ‘No smoke without fire’ etc. No thought by people who comment but have never met the bloke and have zero idea what he does either.
The forum is becoming too miserable and unpleasant for my taste. There are a lot of excellent posters on here and people I really respect. Then there are the others. But everyone is entitled to express what they like - just as one is free to give it a miss for a while.
The thing that makes me genuinely sad is where on positive posts like Hoppy's 'I know last week was a kicker, but I believe we can still do it', you get posters seemingly unable to allow any optimism and it fills with 'nah we're down' etc - even from decent posters.
I know it's their right to post what they like, but it's sad that the joy of the last few years had eroded for so many so quickly.

Yep, currently doing some keeper training with Muric. Apparently he’s done really well, enjoyed his afternoon after surprisingly impressing with some good decision making and point blank saves. Muric has enjoyed the experience too.

I suspect, with my limited knowledge and understanding of the transfer window, that he is possibly working his f*****g nuts off just now. Don't you think?

He’s been given the oxygen to operate and ensure Kieran has the oxygen to do what he does best.
FFS grown men just desperate to find someone to blame or a stick to beat the club with when thinks aren't perfect.
The entitlement that we must be able to go up 2 divisions back to back and continue to win and not struggle is beyond pathetic. Club have invested well over £100 million. They are trying to sign young and promising talent and grow the club.

What have I blamed him for, not keeping up his PR profile?

Mark Ashton and his team have done their job. He's got the players in that were put forward to him. We may have missed out on targets but that's the nature of the game, we aren't always going to be a first choice destination for a player.
