Southampton are not willing to sell him to us. He will go elsewhere now, maybe top end of the Championship.

That win in Saturday has given them the slimmest of hopes, so they would be mad to sell him to us.

What could have been a 13 gap between them and us is now down to 7

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

I think we could get Ward Prowse for a bit less, and try for him.

We wouldn't be able to play him. He's already appeared for West Ham and Forest this season.

Sensible people agree with you. He'd fly in this side and flourish under McKenna. We're also likely to lose Cajuste and Phillips in May so we need ready made replacements in now for next season.

Is it not more a case of them not wanting to sell him to a club they’ll be competing with again next season to go back up?

Amazed most Town fans don't want the same.

He is was superb in the home tie against them last season.

He was a best player for significant portions of his time here.

He's just what our central midfield needs. Him alongside Cajuste would be a significant upgrade.

Agree with the first bit, but we don't need replacements for next season in now.

No thanks. He didn't want to stay, threw hus toys out of the oram and didn't want yo play. Gad the opportunity in the summer threw it babk in our face, so he can fi one niw he's fell out with his latest employer.

I never rated him, and the fee being bandied around of £15m plus is ludicrous.
If the fee was just £15k (thousand) I’d maybe take a punt!

Yea because the regime he played under was great wasn't it?

How dare he not want to play for no hoper Town under Evans. He won a European trophy. It's not as if leaving wasn't right.

Truly impaired.

The fees are irrelevant because Southampton has stated they will not sell to rivals.

He's not coming.
